What Is the Specific Process of Zinc Alloy Die Casting?
Zinc alloy die casting is a kind of metal forming process, high efficiency and low cost, allowing it to be widely used in many different industries. The entire die casting process involves multiple steps, during these steps, related staffs need to pay attention to the mold design, die casting parameters and material quality, otherwise the negative effects may influent the final products.
1. Material preparation: At the very beginning of zinc alloy die casting, we should select the appropriate material and melt it to the appropriate temperature.
2. Mold preparation: Except from preparing material, the preparation of mold is also necessary. Design and manufacture molds suitable for the shape of the required parts, which are usually made of high temperature resistant materials.
3. Die casting: Then we need to pour the molten zinc alloy into the mold, and apply high pressure through the die casting machine to allow the zinc alloy to fill the mold cavity.
4. Cooling: The die-cast parts should be cooled in the mold to fix their shape.
5. Demolding: Open the mold and take out the molded zinc alloy parts.
6. Post-processing: Further processing of the die-cast parts, such as deburring, grinding, polishing, etc.
7. Quality inspection: Check the size, appearance and performance of the parts to ensure that they meet the requirements.
